After I recommended that subscribers sell their shares of Star Scientific two weeks ago, there was a buzz on Internet bulletin boards. At least one anonymous poster suggested I had joined those selling Star short. We got some letters from subscribers about my recommendation to sell Star, both negative and positive. Not a single subscriber suggested it was a bad idea to sell, but many were upset I hadn’t made the recommendation earlier, which they felt might have saved them money. So let me respond to some of their concerns with the hope of not seeming defensive, but clearer about what you can expect from me.
