Today, one of our stem cell companies will announce that it has received FDA approval for a medical device that helps wounds repair themselves. But this device is not made out of surgical stainless steel or nylon or anything else that resembles hardware. This device is a goo, a mix of collagen and hyaluronic acid called Premvia that works kind of like an epoxy. It even comes in a kit. You mix the ingredients together, and like epoxy glue, at first the combination is a free-flowing liquid. But the clock is ticking, and when it goes off, the goo gets thick and sticky, forming a matrix. Premvia is derived from a larger line of matrixes this company has developed called HyStem.
